Frequently Asked Questions
Planning your visit
Please arrive 10 minutes before your session starts and check in at the reception. Remember, shooting and ball handling sessions last for 30 minutes (not 30 minutes of machine time). Please ensure you don’t miss out on your time when the next booking arrives. If it’s your first time attending, you’ll need to fill out our terms and conditions, so please allow a little extra time.
When you come to Basketball-HQ, we provide brand new balls in sizes 5, 6, and 7, so you can leave your ball at home and simply come in to train. Nothing else is needed!
Yes, we will provide a spot to secure your bag while using our facilities. However, please leave all valuables at home as it is at your own risk.
When using our basketball equipment and gym, we recommend wearing athletic clothing and closed, flat-soled shoes that are non-marking. This requirement also applies to spectators.
If you’re a member, you can bring one friend to share your booked session for an additional $15, subject to capacity. If you’re visiting casually, a maximum of two people per session is allowed.
Individual coaches are not permitted unless otherwise agreed upon.
We offer a wide variety of drinks to suit everyone’s needs, but unfortunately, we do not serve food.
Unfortunately, outside food is not allowed as we have members with special dietary requirements. We aim to ensure a safe space for everyone.
Basketball-HQ welcomes participants of all ages. However, to ensure safety, please adhere to the following guidelines.
For the gym: Children aged 13 or younger who are not receiving a personal training session or 1-on-1 coaching must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times. No children under 8 are allowed at any time.
All other areas are permitted for individuals aged 13 and over.
Visit without booking
It’s always best to schedule your booking in advance to avoid disappointment. However, if you do show up and there are available time slots, you’re welcome to secure your session. Please keep in mind that we operate on 30-minute time slots.
Yes, but it’s best to call ahead to arrange a time for one of our friendly staff members to show you around.
For safety reasons, we can’t have spectators at our stations (except for parents and guardians). We operate on 30-minute time slots, so once you’re done with your workout/session, please keep walkways and stations clear. We have a viewing area where you can enjoy watching.
When available, we do allow open court shootarounds for a $10 30-minute session for non-members. Members shoot for free.
Booking, hiring and payment
If you’re unable to book online, you can make a booking over the counter and pay with cash or card. However, not booking in advance increases the risk of missing out.
Absolutely! Our standard rate for full court hire is $110 for a 30-minute session. If you represent a club or association, please contact us to discuss the possibility of negotiating a better permanent rate. Availability may be subject to our ongoing academies and private sessions.
Yes, we do offer family discounts. Please inquire within for more information.
Yes, we do offer private coaching. Please inquire within to discuss the level of coaching you require.
